Going for Gold...

As the Rio 2016 Olympics are underway what can we learn about success from athletes in the pursuit of medal glory…

At the 1936 Berlin Olympics, Athlete Jesse Owens shot to world fame winning four track and field gold medals. He was the most successful athlete at these games and credited with ‘bursting’ Adolf Hitler’s myth of so called Aryan supremacy.

Here are three simple winning strategies from Jesse Owens about planning ahead that you can apply to your own pursuit of success…

Thinking - articulate a clear simple idea or principle that drives you and awakens your passions and purpose.

Feeling - The battles that count aren't about gold medals. It’s about overcoming the struggles and fears within yourself. That requires a positive mind-set.

Action - To turn dreams into reality takes a lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline and effort. So focus, stick at it, never give up.
